In my research I took interest in the African burial ground site located in lower Manhattan, and in result I’ve created a MMT and essay discussing and showing what I’ve found about it. To explain the difference between the two, the purpose of the MMT is to inform people who are not interested in learning about my site in a creative and entertaining way and so they can understand the importance of preserving historic landmarks. Since my audience will be people who aren’t really interested about my historic sight at first glance the MMTs job is to interest them in wanting to learn about it. This way will involve interactive questions and multiple question responses, so the audience is more responsive to the topic. My purpose of writing the well-researched essay is to educate researchers or those who are interested in my chosen site to learn and discover more about it. What motivates me to write this essay is to share this site for people who are interested in the history of the site but aren’t too familiar with it. My essay will do the best it can to answer any intriguing questions any researcher might have about the history of my chosen site. What is very similar with my essay is that they both have the same purpose and motivation, but the essay is more information based because the audience is academics who are looking for more research of my site and also how slavery New York was. For the Audience of my MMTs it wouldn’t be smart to include all the text I have in my essay because that will bore them so I had to cut it down but also make it interactive and fun the best way I can.
