As I’ve continued my research my argument has only strengthened that it’s important to prioritize history preservation because as I start to revise my sources, I start to see more and more information showing interesting and important impacts history preservation has done to community’s and how much knowledge has grown specifically for black history and also the history of New York City as a whole. Living in a city means that there is always going to be endless modernization and gentrification which means that it’s crucial that we don’t forget about how it was like before and during colonialization because it’s what started NYC as a city that we know and love (Kind of) today.
