One article I annotated was the “African Burial Ground: African Burial Ground National Monument, New York”, short story that displays pictures and information about the events leading up to the burial and how it was discovered in the 20th century. What I wrote in my annotations is “what specifically transpired for the site to be approved as a national monument?” Because when it was just discovered it wasn’t recognized by the constructers who found it and planned on discarding it. Annotating this article helped me realized that there is still more information yet to be shown about the site that wasn’t mentioned. It also helped me clarify things that seemed confused at first but analyzing it by annotating reassured my confidence of the topic that I was learning about. For now, the Article is perfect as it is because it gives the general information about the site that one would ask about and it makes it clear to me what other information, I should be looking for in order to make my research papers complete.
